We booked 2 rooms , stayed there because we were attending a family wedding in Middleton estate. The building is old but lovely in the inside Nice and clean hotel ,friendly receptionist nicely decorated lobby with many places to sit and read a book or work on your laptop wide corridors, a good size lift and rooms are clearly labelled so you can easily find the directions to your room Rooms are small , comfy bed , hair dryer , iron /ironing board , small fridge , coffee & tea , safe , basic bathrooms ( had cracked or misplaced tiles ) towels were for only one person which was annoying !! The hotel in great location , big carpark we didn’t pay for carpark just check with the receptionist and only added our number plate on their iPad . They also have electrical car charging area . They also have star bucks with sandwiches , hot drinks and limited cake options Sadly ,We did not have a good view from one of our room at the first floor but we enjoyed our stay

I look forward to coming here. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. My room is always spotless. Bed is comfortable too. Can't fault it. Special praise needs to go to top chef Steve for always making a perfect omelette to order. Love them. His breakfast is always spot on. Everything is cooked properly and not burnt or soggy. And now I have a beautiful drive coming up along route (a)66. Shades on, tunes up. Happy, happy days.

First week at hotel without the iconic Penny on reception, (Still getting over the loss of Lisa). Penny has been a rock to me, helping me through a rough time that I was going through with her kindness and compassion. Going above and beyond her duties for people constantly. I'll never forget her help in my most critical hour, real loss for the hotel. Shout out to the stars that are still here, Steve with his immaculate breakfast and his morning staff. Carol, Christine, David and Emily are awesome in the bar area. Freya adds humour to reception, her smile and laughter is infectious. Here for work, wish the menu catered more for the working person. Where's pie chips and gravy, maybe a special would be nice, something to fill the plate more.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a huge thank you after our recent stay with you. From the moment we checked in, the service was absolutely brilliant — so friendly and welcoming, and it really set the tone for the whole visit. Our two boys (15 and 12) loved the swim, and later on we were so well looked after in the bar for the rest of the evening. Every member of the team made us feel relaxed and genuinely cared for. It honestly felt like we were being looked after by family rather than staying in a hotel, which made the experience extra special. Please pass on our thanks to everyone involved — you’ve got a fantastic team and you should be really proud of them. We’ll definitely be recommending you and would love to come back again soon. Thanks again and all the best,

We stayed here for two nights because a family member was getting married at the wedding barn nearby. The hotel is an older building, but it looks nice inside. There is ample parking outside, and spots to sit and have a drink. The room was really quiet and had excellent blackout curtains! The bed was really comfy and the AC was nice and cold. The shower was hot, though the bathrooms were a little dated. The floor creaked quite a bit so I hope I didn’t wake up people below us! The restaurant is the best part of the hotel! Fratellis is amazing.. and the breakfast the hotel served was out of this world. It’s not a touristy spot as it’s just off the highway, but if I ever need to stay in that area again I would definitely stay there again. The staff were all super friendly as well!

Perfect base location for Middleton Lodge Estate. We attended the night before and wedding of a close friend and at the time were given a late check out though we didn't need it. The hotel breakfast was enjoyable. The staff were really attentive and helpful when required. The only fault was that they had not replenished their supplies when I asked for a spare toothbrush in the morning hence the 4 stars not 5. The hotel was clean and had a buoyant atmosphere. Would be nice enough to stay longer than one night as a more affordable option to Middleton Lodge Estate fo r guests of weddings as we were before we stayed at the estate on the day of the wedding. The gym was next door in a separate building. Good for a one of visit. Part of a bigger gym facility separate to the hotel so can be busy at times. Worth a visit though as an available feature. Would stay again in future.
